Warm Greetings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
We, the Scripture Study Fellowship from Chennai, extend our heartfelt greetings to each one of you. Our purpose is to delve into the Scriptures, seeking spiritual understanding and discernment. As the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 2:13, we aim to compare spiritual truths with spiritual meanings, guided by the Holy Spirit.
In our journey through the Bible, we encounter both profound truths and apparent contradictions. How do we grapple with these mysteries? How can we discern God’s divine plan behind every word and every verse? These questions resonate within us, urging us to seek wisdom beyond mere human knowledge.
Isaiah 34:16 assures us that the Word of God is crystal clear: “None shall lack her mate; His Spirit will gather them together.” In this promise, we find hope and assurance. The Holy Scriptures, inspired by the Spirit, harmonize and complement one another. As we study, let us approach the Word with reverence, humility, and a hunger for divine revelation.
Why do we study the Bible? Above all, it is our duty to know and spread the divine truth. We are entrusted with the message of redemption the good news that echoes through the ages. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, bore our sins, conquered death, and offers eternal life. This truth compels us to share it with a world hungering for hope.
“Why sit we here until we die?” (2 Kings 7:9) Indeed, the hour is urgent. The weight of eternity rests upon us, urging us to know and, in turn, to proclaim. What purpose lies within our mortal frames? Why did the Creator breathe life into dust? These questions reverberate through the corridors of time, seeking answers.
"You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life." John 5:39
Eternal life an invitation extended to all who seek. But let us not merely skim the surface; let us plunge into the depths of understanding. As we gather for our Bible Study, let it be known that this assembly is not borne of compulsion or duty. Nay, it flows from the wellspring of grace a gift freely bestowed upon us:
“Every man according as he purposed in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or
of necessity: for
God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Dear brethren, let us examine our hearts. Are we cheerful givers of truth, stewards of
divine mysteries?
Our inheritance the legacy of Christ’s sacrifice comes not with strings attached but with
arms wide
open. As the evangelist Matthew records:
“Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:8)
May the grace that flowed from the cross, the mercy that bridged the chasm, and the love
that conquered
death abide with you all. Through our Savior Jesus Christ, let our lives resonate with the
eternal
refrain: Amen.
